The inspiration for this design came from a shirt that Kellster, Kellstermakeup on YouTube, was wearing in one of her videos, you can see it HERE.

Let's begin!
Here are the polishes that I used!
From L to R: Revlon "Make Mine Mango", Finger Paints "Ripe Peach", Sally Hansen "Thinking of Blue", and "White On". I also used a top coat, base coat, nail art brush, and a dotting tool.
Step 1:
Apply a base coat to protect your natural nails. Once that dries, apply two coats of your favorite white polish and allow that to dry.
Step 2:
Next you're going to take a light peach color and make various blobs on your nails. Quick tip: The messier the blob, the better the flower is going to look!
Step 3:
Take a nail art brush and a coral polish that is a few shades darker than the color of the rose and paint small "C" shapes in the blobs. Quick Tip: I find that starting in the center of the circle (blob) and placing the "Cs" in a circle gives the rose a more realistic look.
Step 4:
Take a dotting tool, or a bobby pin, and a navy blue polish and place dots in the white area of your nails.
Step 5:
Allow your nails to dry for about 20 minutes then apply a top coat.
Your design is finished!

This is such a cute design! I wish my nails weren't so short and stubby. I would love to try this. :)
ReplyDeleteThe design is lovely! Now I have a question, are you as good doing them on your right hand because I always have that issue with designs. My left hand always looks better.
ReplyDeleteThank you! My right hand was okay, I smudged the dots a little. I usually try to take my time on my right hand to make it look as good as my left, but my left hand always looks better than my right! Lol
