Finger Paints Kaleidoscope Collection Swatches (Pic Heavy)

Well hello there everyone!  Today I have swatches of the Finger Paints Kaleidoscope collection to share with you all.

You guys might know that I am obsessed with flakie polishes, and if you didn't know now you know, so when I heard that Finger Paints came out a with new flakie collection I knew I had to check them out.  I saw some swatches on a another blog and wasn't really impressed with the collection but I went ahead and skipped on over to Sallys to look at them in person.  I still wasn't all that excited when I saw the collection in person but I ended picking up the whole collection since it was buy one get one free on Finger Paints polishes this past month.

Now onto to the swatches:

*NOTE: I applied one coat of each polish over a black polish in all of the swatches below.  The flakies were evenly distributed and laid flat on the nail.*

Overall, I like this collection a lot more than I thought I would and I'm glad I picked it up during Finger Paints BOGO sale last month.  My favorites from the collection are Abstract Attraction and Colorful Dream.  Which ones do you have your eye on?

Julie G Frosted Gumdrops collection!

Hey guys so today I wanted to share some swatches of the JulieG Frosted Gumdrops collection.  I saw some bloggers talking about a great deal on Groupon.com where you could get the entire collection for $16 bucks with tax!  I wasn't going to get the collection at first (I didn't have the money at the time) but my mom was nice enough to get it for me.

JulieG Frosted Gumdrops collection

I'm sure you guys have seen every blogger and their mom swatch these but I wanted to try these out with different types of topcoats.  In the swatches below I painted my nails with two coats of polish (with no base coat), then applied a shiny topcoat, and then a matte topcoat.  All of the polishes were easy to apply and only took two coats to reach full opacity.

Crushed Candy:  A light purple polish with various sized silver glitter.

Blueberry Fizz: A light blue polish with various sized silver glitter.

Rock Candy: A medium teal polish with various silver glitter.

Tangerine Dream:  A light orange polish with small gold glitter.

Sugar Rush:  An orange coral polish with small gold glitter.

Hot Cinnamon:  A red polish with small gold glitter.

I absolutely love this collection!  I pretty much wore these polishes all last month and loved the way they wore.  Even though I don't have a variety of textured polishes from other brands I have to say that the JulieG textured polishes are my favorite!

Which brand, in your opinion, has the best textured polishes?

Pure Ice swatches!

Hello beautiful people!  Today I wanted to share some swatches of a few Pure Ice polishes that I bought a while back.

From L to R:  Internationally Known, Champagne, and Busted

Internationally Known:  A medium teal creme

I love this teal!  Application was nice and the polish is very opaque.  (2 coats)

Champagne:  An emerald green duo chrome

My attempt at getting a picture of the duo chrome effect. (I tried LOL)

Eeekkkkk...this color is gorgeous!  I really love the finish on the nail!  The duo chrome is noticeable on the nail but not as strong as is it in the bottle. (2 coats)

Busted:  A light lilac duo chrome

This was the disappointing one in the bunch for me.  It's a pretty color but it's extremely sheer.  I was hoping that this polish would be opaque in at least four coats but nope it was still sheer.  You can definitely layer this over another polish (like I did) and still get a nice effect on the nail.  (1 coat over 2 coats of Finger Paints Aren't You Glad-iolous?)

I've been loving the new colors that Pure Ice has been coming with lately!  You can find Pure Ice polishes at Walmart for around $1.99.  You can check out their Facebook page HERE and their website HERE for updates on new colors and contest! :)

What is your favorite Pure Ice polish?  Mine is French Kiss hands down; you can see a pic of it HERE Please excuse my uneven nails!  I was in stage where I didn't want to cut my nails after one broke so yea...

Indie Spotlight: Lush Lacquer!

Hey everyone!  So I was looking through my photos to see what I wanted to post today and found lots of pictures from last year that I still haven't done post on!  The next couple of weeks will be "catch up" for me so that these pictures will finally have their time to shine on the blog! : )

Today I want to share some swatches of some Lush Lacquer polishes that I bought a while ago!  Lush Lacquer is an indie polish brand that has TONS of awesome glitter polishes that will make you drool!

My small but MIGHTY Lush Lacquer collection (believe me, this will be expanding soon)!  From L to R:  Party Hearty, Salt n Peppa, and Summer Lovin.

Party Hearty:  A light pink polish filled with multi-sized glitter (including bright blue hearts)!

I was a little worried about the application since this had quite a few big hearts in it but it was surprisingly easy to fish out the bigger glitter after I left the bottle upside down for a few minutes.  (2 coats w/ top coat)

Salt n Peppa:  A combination of black and white glitter with a hint of iridescent glitter in the mix.

Salt n Peppa reminds me of a very popular black and white glitter that I discovered when I first started blogging (indie polish lovers know which one I'm talking about) so I was happy to find a close dupe offered in a mini size.  The polish was easy to apply and laid nicely on my nails.  In the pic above I have 1 coat over Sally Hansen Coral Reef (left) and Wet n Wild On a Trip (right).

Summer Lovin:  A fun neon pink polish filled with pink, blue, white, and yellow glitters.

This polish is so fun!  The glitter was easy to apply and distribute on the nail.  The photo above doesn't show it's true neon-ness (is that even a word)?!  I think Summer Lovin is a perfect polish for summer.  I applied 1 coat over Sinful Colors Easy Colors Easy Going but I would recommend applying this over a white to get the full neon color on your nails.

I love indie polishes and Lush Lacquer has a bunch of polishes that I definitely want to add to my collection.

What's your favorite Lush Lacquer polish?  I'm dying to get my hands on their neon glitters!  What indie polish brands do you like?
