I did a little experiment!

Hey guys!  Sorry for the lack of post.  These past few days were "interesting."  Last week I got some shocking news about a friend (nothing too bad) that's kind of complicated to explain so I'll just leave it at that.  Yesterday I was searching internet for new job openings in my area and my mom called me and told me that her friend knew some guy that was looking to hire someone and left an application for me!!!  Not only did he leave an application, he also set up an interview for me that same afternoon!  My mom's friend dropped off the application and I had about 4 hours to fill it out and get dressed for my interview!  I haven't heard anything yet but I sure do hope I get this job! So yea, that's how the past week or so has been for me.

Enough with my excuses explanation, let's get to the "experiment" that I did!

When I first started following blogs I saw a post from Lizzy (The D.I.Y. Lady) about her first frakens.  I wasn't really sure what a fraken was, but when I saw her post I immediately wanted to make my own!  For those of you that might not know, a fraken is a polish that is made with polishes that you have in your collection (I think). Lol  I've been mixing my first fraken for a while now and I'm finally satisfied with it and wanted to show it to y'all! : )

 My first fraken!

Here are the polishes that I used! From L to R: Essie As Gold as It Gets, NK Gold, Milani Jewel FX Gold, N.Y.C. Wing It Wine Creme, and a no name Covergirl polish.

When I started mixing the polishes together I wanted the end result to look like deep berry polish with gold "flakes" (almost like gold leaf).  Although the polish looks nothing like berry gold flake anything (lol), I'm really pleased with the way it looks! (2 coats)

What do you guys think?  Do y'all have a name suggestion?  The only name I could think of was Fraken (sooo original -_-)!

I had too much fun mixing this baby together!  I already have some more polishes that I want to mix just for fun! ^_^

Have any of y'all made your own Fraken polish?  If so, I'd love to see them!  You can post a picture on our Facebook wall HERE!

Thanks for reading; follow and share if you like!
